Worlds of Fun 50th Logo
In 2023, Worlds of Fun amusement park is celebrating their 50th anniversary, so they prompted us to create a logo to commemorate the anniversary and provide a unique visual for the park to use in their festivities.
The only design requirements were that the final logo has to have a celebratory energy and incorporate WOF’s iconic hot air balloon.

Phase 1: The Hot Air Balloon
Because the hot air balloon was the primary graphic we were asked to incorporate, Sangbum began the design process by developing a few graphic options for a simplified version of the balloon in the Worlds of Fun logo.
Meanwhile, I explored various ways the hot air balloon could be incorporated into the logo, as well as testing out various font treatments for the “50” that would be cohesive with the pre-existing WOF logo.
Phase 2: Celebration
After the client picked a graphic direction, our next step was exploring how we could add a celebratory look and feel to the design, as well as how to incorporate the 50th anniversary tagline, “Celebrate Adventure”.
Then we made tweaks to the new elements to see how they could work together.
Phase 3: Refinement
Once the client decided on their favorite elements, we refined the design, specified different logo versions and campaign color palette, and developed a style guide that could be referenced when applying the logo to assets.
